LYRICS GUITAR ZEUS II
“STASH”
Written by Keeling, Franklin, Appice
Guitar solo by Stevie Salas
Wake up in the afternoon
Quarter after three
Tearin down the cobwebs around my eyes
They wanna see
What’s been goin down today
I don’t really care
The maids at this hotel
Are suspicious as hell
Everybody wants my money
Everybody wants my stash
I ain’t got no bread money
Better hide it
Hide it fast
Tell me is it wrong to sleep
Stop giving me the third degree
I go about my own routine
You don’t want me to cause a scene
I’m gonna go crazy
Don’t wanna go crazy
I’d like to go crazy
Don’t wanna go crazy
Nighttime almost here
Might do it all again
Stay inside and watch the tube
Or go out in the clear
Quiet out tonight
That’s why I slept all day
No cars and yelling people
To disturb my simple ways
Tell me is it wrong to sleep
Life is better in the dream
Spirit does a midnight creep
Why don’t you just let me be?
I’m gonna go crazy

“NOTHING”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by John Norum
They’re coming to our world
How they’re gonna take it
Headed for a war
Time won’t matter
Identity to steal
Tribes of religion
Christ from the heavens
Bhudda from the land
Ignore the signs
All in place
And say it’s nothing in your face
Another time another place
Maybe
Say it’s worlds away
Make no mistake
It’s happening today
We look to one another
Turned our deaf ears
All the faces changed
Yeah we gotta go
And there it goes
No one knows
How it’s comin’ to a close
The leaders lost – still they lead
Nowhere
Who holds the cards
And runs the show
Of the madness of our fate
Nowhere to run
IT will become
The news of the world
We’re movin’
Losin’
All you’ve collected today
Takin’
Nothin’
With you on the way
Not too many people in the world
Able to survive
Global suicide
The nothing’s there
Watch it tear
Another hole into your brain
So nothing’s lost
And nothing’s there
So you pray
To let it all take you away
And now we wait for an answer
It’s not too late to
Turn it around
Nothing

"CODE 19"
Music: K. Keeling, C. Appice / Lyrics & Melodies: K. Keeling
Guitar solo Zakk Wilde
Feels like I'm living in a movie.
Inside the light that feels the texture on the screen
Dancing in the smoke
It turns from black and white to bleed
You're almost there
Better there
Climb aboard the air light riders sea
Right into the noonday sun
You’re almost past the lead
Slipped into the rolling
Takes you faster than the light
It's not a dream
Code 19
Raid homicide
Red to the sky
Fade genocide
Paid suicide
Astral mass communication
All telepathy and thoughts are understood
So no mistake is made from conduct of the truth
The spoken word
No longer heard
It's not a dream
Code 19
Raid Homicide
Red to the sky
Fade genocide
Paid suicide
Heavy load
Missing home
Now that you're listening from a moonshot
Of your distance
How your conscious flows
It never dies
It walks and talks and flaunts another Picture
Show
Appearing on behalf of the United States a man killed a passenger who died
in his sleep recording live.

“EVEN UP THE SCORE”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Solo by Ted Nugent
Downtown scene
I was shaken
Back once again where I did not wanna be
Crash into madness on Marion Street.
I was fightin’ for my life
Planet of the apes
No it wasn’t just a movie
Have you got a useful right?
Slipped off the boat in the ocean
Sinking it down to the floor
Taking a trip to the overload
Holding the raft overboard
Gotta even up the score
Even up the score
Warning you some more
Even up the score
Well into the madness on the side of the ditch
There were six to one
Had to get out on my feet
But you know I could not run
Yeah tweakers and whores
I was trying to get out of town
They wouldn’t let me go
My bike couldn’t go fast enough
The Harley wouldn’t make it to shore
Takin’ a slip to the overload
Guess you started a war
Gotta even up the score
Even up the score
Gonna mess with me some more
Even up the score
Even up the score
Warning you some more
Even up the score
Even up the score
Made it back it was barely alive
I was beaten down
Laid up for days I couldn’t move in pain
I remember their backs
And the look on their faces
But I tell you one day those apes are gonna get theirs
You’ll never know what hit you down
Maybe you’ve been there before
Just can’t let it go
You’ll mess with no one no more
Gotta even up the score

"PERFECT DAY"
Words & Music: K. Keeling, G. Keeling / Arranged by Keeling, Appice,
Franklin
Guitar solo by Warren DeMartini
It's cold outside
And I love it
Feel the sunrise
Upon yor face
Nothing but good insight
At my home by the sea
And if it's only for a short while
I guess that's how it's gotta be
Cause everybody that I've seemed to know
Has needed a little space to find
Time to find what it really means
To let your soul unwind
But the Lord He knows
And I know
I've got faith
It's such a perfect day
It's warm inside gotta hold on to it
And anywhere that I need to go
On that road I'm gonna take it yeah
But you never have to go too far
You've got peace in your own front yard
If you've got troubles
All you gotta do is walk outside, walk on
The Lord He knows - and I know
I'm testing my faith
It's such a perfect day
And you'll know you're gonna make it through
Let your heart be your guide
In this way you really know what matters
The Lord in Heaven knows
And you'll know if you've got faith
Could be your perfect day, perfect day
And you know that it's overdue
Turning a page
Fall out of place
Looking for home
Run out of space
Trying to rearrange
What's all been thrown out of phase
Fall out of reach
Now you can't hear
Who is to say
You're not really there?
Maybe it's time
That someone tried to get though
It's overdue
On this perfect day
Don't let it get you down
How many times around
Don't let it get you down
How many times around
Let it go
Let go
Fields of your life
Taking you so far down
Let it go / fields of your life
Taking you so far down

“GONNA RAIN”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by Richie Sambora
Another place an now it’s left behind
Don’t recall the latest phase
Letting go you dropped the safety line
Now you cannot break away
Bell man
Says it’s gonna rain tonight
Hell man
Says it’s gonna break
Gotta look up to the sky
Still it’s gonna rain
Still it’s gonna rain
They say it’s gonna rain
Still they say it’s gonna rain
Worship clocks they’re just illusion now
Did you bring along your faith?
Along with something you cannot afford
My friend to be without
Bell man
Says it’s gonna rain tonight
Hell man
Says it’s gonna break
Gotta look up to the sky
Still it’s gonna rain
Still it’s gonna rain
They say it’s gonna rain
Still they say it’s gonna rain
World is turning upside down
Flyers crashing to the sky
L.A.’s burning in the ocean now
It’s getting hard to stay awake
BREAK!!!!!
Still it’s gonna rain
They say it’s gonna rain
No running from the rain

“MY OWN ADVICE”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Solo by Kenji Kitajima
I’m too far away
Did you find your water
In your desert heart of faith?
I can’t ignore your fake impression
Your two faces changed
I thought I knew you
Guess I was wrong you mother
It backfired
You’re just a bad design
Now you’re bought and sold
Today gonna find you out
Down your dead end road
‘Copters gone away
I’d like to go outside
But I’ve been in too many days
Time you wake up to remember
All you know is what they tell you
Looking through the mirror
From the backside ain’t clear
I’m taking my advice
Made some other plans
Today gonna move along
Getting out of the road
Just a bad design
Now you’re bought and sold
Tuesday gonna find you out
Down your dead end road
Running out of space
Exposed the nerve tonight all over
Had faith and nothing changed
You let it all take you away
All I want’s a day
Without walls and barricades
Another sky to light sky to light
Gonna fry tonight
You learn, you don’t
You lie, get high alone
You get straight, get crooked
Walk the edge, and make the jump
You get low, high
You blow holy smoke
You get frayed
And fall down again
You get light, heavy
You let it all take you away
Running out of space
I’m taking my own advice
Made some other plans
Today I’m gonna move along
Getting out of the road
Had to live for today
But that day has come in an hour gone
Had to live for today
But that day has come
In an hour you’ll be gone
1,-,3 . . . you’re taking up space

“TRIPPIN’ AGAIN”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by Ty Tabor
Just can’t believe that I’m tripping again
Going through places I thought I would never leave town
Not everybody’s sound
It’s not such a shame
Smiling off again
Jumped into the spotlight and opened the room
My cigarette smoke has turned into a pattern of paisley
Crazed but that’s okay join the charade
I’m stepping on
Quicksand – emotionless
Is that a good place to be?
Kool aid the punch line and greasepaint the face
Fighting the Mardi Gras the crowd is going that way
Am I the only one going against the grain?
It’s not such a shame
Smiling off a gain
Nearing five A.M. electric the sight
Mourning the night that may never have happened again
Does that make any sense?
Who cares you can’t in slow motion age?
I’m stepping off
If you ever walked on water then
Maybe I would give a damn
Is someone calling my name?
Still oh so much has changed
I’m not too sure if the sky’s not falling
Still in the A.M. it’s so hard to tell
Hard to explain if when all that you hear is loud bells
Wearing the mask you can be somebody else
Join the parade

“OUT OF MIND”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by Neal Schon
Get it while you’re wasting all of your time
It’s gone away
Yeah you’ve gone astray
While we’re all ignoring all of the signs
Big mistake
Wish you were awake
Gonna blow it crossing over the line
Gonna break
You’re really gonna brake
Generated soulstess feeding the vice
Pretty face
In your parlor dressed in lace
Gotta change the station
Sample reading is not on the phone
Light another to shake it off
While you take your time
Going out of your mind
Far down it’s a worthless cry
All the ears are closed
Going out of your mind
Get it while you’re wasting all of your time
Perhaps a little faith
Will light on your way
Are you still avoiding all the signs?
Last night I left this scene
Followed the moon to the ocean once again
The waves, they seem to allure me
So I dive right in
Me and the sky
It was cold
Though it was this past December, past July
CHANGE THE STATION
CHANNEL MIND RADIO
Make a living giving your life
Is it worth your pride?
Going out of your mind
Save a little, spend it all
You can never save
Gonna blow it away
High noon it’s across the year
Get your taxes filed
Spend it all on the ride
Doesn’t matter going high
Never coming down
Going into the light
Who’s to blame?
Such a shame
Make a living giving your life
Is it worth your pride?
Going out of your mind
Far down it’s a worthless cry
All the years are closed
Going over the line
High noon it’s across the year
Get your taxes filed
Spent it all on a Lear JET
Doesn’t matter, going high
Never going down
Get out of your mind
Out of your mind

“DOIN’ FINE”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by Vivian Campbell
Are you doin’ fine?
Or are you lying?
What is the story my friend, are you doing fine?
Caught in a bind?
Or are you on time?
I’ll try to help you find a place to begin
Over and over
And backwards now
Where’s the smile on your face?
We’re all getting older
In only this world
Can you relate?
Movin’ on
Waiting on hope to find what has been
Playing out someone else’s game
Gotta find your own way
Doin’ all right?
Or are you behind?
What’s it gonna be tomorrow?
Diggin’ a hole?
Lost control hoping you’ll find that place
Over and under
And forward now
Where’s the smile on your face?
It’s not showing through you
Where has it gone?
Under the weight?
We’re movin’ on
Waiting on hope to find what has been
Playing out someone else’s game
One day you’ll find your own way
I’ve got something that captures the need
To make sure we’re saved
From our world gone over the red
Past the insane
Gotta take a long look way inside
For what you can change
There still is love

“DEAD WRONG”
Written by Keeling, Appice
Guitar solo by Dweezil Zappa
Out over winds and seas I’m reaching
Out of my wings I’m free tonight
No longer know what time you all are keeping
Only spirit soul I’m free to light
Wasn’t easy to get them to let me leave
Hanging on to this material world
Alluring false love can mislead you
Dead wrong, so wrong
I’ve lived the lives
The breaks
Good-byes
To sacrifice the wrongs
For right
No more time for speculation here
Reaching out too far you’re bound to ride
Tell my brothers and all I’m gonna make it
One way or another
Tomorrow long gone I’m free tonight
Fell into a timeless blissful space
Glimpse the true nature of it all
Toward the healing light of the burning sun and on
Through God
Divine
Create sublime
Out on the wind, the light, the love
I’ve found the life
I went there to where I may worship you well
The weight of the world pulls along
Holding me down
I want to believe that we may all turn it around
For the love, for you all, for your love
How many people
Dead wrong, so wrong
Dead wrong, so wrong
