Kelly and everyone at KellyKeeling.com express their sincere condolences to former web administrator Antoinette Avalon for the loss of her father on January 23rd of this year.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for
us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on
what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what
is unseen is eternal.

A Tribute to John
"Clint" Letulier
I met Clint at Shanahan’s in Lafayette in the early 80's we could barely
get in. We must have been 17 or 18. This would be the beginning of a lifelong
friendship,.We would help each other out scraping change sometimes on Monday
dollar Heineken night, we had many many happy times. This was the start.
we had together. I was always uncomfortable in those days, he made me feel
safe.
I had been hired by a band called CASTLE to play keys vocals n guitar. Our
first gig,.. one week at a place in TEXAS was the following night. Tuesday.
We had a long drive,. in a van , with a u haul.
I needed a tech, someone to help tune my guitars, and load my keyboard settings, and just help me where I need it. He didn't know how to tune guitars, or play. I was confident I could teach him on the way, He accepted. First show he got it. Always perfect tuning. He rigged my amps with tin foil when we couldn’t afford tubes. set my keyboards.. made sure we were all comfortable and had what we needed.
Castle & Clint did the main circuit in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texes, Tennessee, for a few years with us. Clint was the first to tell me I was the father to a baby boy when I entered the club after having to leave the hospital for a gig in Mississippi.
Some hard times making ends meet were met with Clint and I siphoning gas from a neighbor to make it to the swamps close to where we lived in Scott, Louisiana to catch crawfish when we had nothing to eat. We would find crawfish ponds and end up throwing them at one another coming home full of mud from head to toe, but with pounds of crawfish and rice for the band. That is one of My most precious memories with Clint. And they keep coming as the days go on.
He continued to be my tech until I joined the band VOICES / later Baton Rouge, with Lance Bulen. We moved to Pearl River together, 10 bedroom house to rehearse.,,, Then he was all of our techs.. This led him to REO speed wagon,, He became Paul Gilberts tech, Scott Travis's and BUSH.. Gavin & Gwen,. He has made so many wonderful friends.
What was so great about Clint was he was always there for everyone. and made everyone feel safe. Everything was always taken care of. And he loved to cook.
I went to a service in L.A. where Baton Rouge and crew reunited. Gavin, Gwen,
Reo's people, One of the most painful days of my life, and one of the best
at the same time. We sang and reminisced and laughed and laughed..
The way he said Mynez instead of Mayonnaise.. his accent, his smile, his gentle comforting nature, love for life, love for food, the crawfish tattooed on his arm, he is a true cajun, I remember people in REO speed wagon saying ,, Clint.. come over here,,, "TALK" they wanted to hear a true cajun talk.. it embarrassed him so he lost it,.. but when I hear him talk to me,, I hear it clearly. The one liners echo in my head.
We drove to Cali after a visit to Louisiana in his little pickup truck his dad bought him. Nuni gave us pounds of Boudin for the road,.. I think we made it in 20 hrs non stop. We had a deadline for shows and were rehearsing at REO speedwagon's place and time was up for family and friends in LOUISIANA..after 5 gigs we got signed to Atlantic, from years with Castle, then Albums and tours with Baton Rouge,, My Brother. So sorry I wasn't there
God gave me the opportunity to see him at a layover
in AZ about a month ago. Which I believe to be a miracle. The Opportunity
I didn't see where he needed ME.
He had missed his plane and I had just arrived. I heard.. " KELLY!!"
I turned around and it was Clint.. YO.... QUASADIE... ? wasssup neg.."Our
Own special Lingo we made up,, He told me what was going on.. He was going
home to see his family. We needed to catch up , So I took his number. His
sweet son answers the message. We were going to catch up. But didn't get to
do it enough, but actually did catch up some "during the brief time at
the airport.
I met his son after services in LA with Dianne’s family and other kids. Sweet boys, with Clint's demeanor
We used to cook the best seafood gumbos and etouffees and in the hard days before we got signed , the best ramen noodles.. cause we could make a roux,, and add simmered onions and bell peppers.. that was his favorite..sometimes we would have burritos of simmered onions and bell peppers and cayenne, Bill Teague and all of us from Louisiana always loved the cayenne
I saw him every day for years, I thought he would always be here. It was great to see him that last time in the airport with the same happy comforting , peaceful, graceful aura. I guess everyone who knew him considered him their brother and best friend. I hope he is up there with My Dad, and Dimebag Darryl in zydeco heaven making everyone feel safe. He made me feel safe
Some of the greatest times in my life were spent with
Clint. We went through so much together, and made a career out of music. Our
love. It was a hard road.. our life, still is for me.
God Bless You Clint. I Love You My Brother, And thanks for the lessons, I
hear you loud and clear. Thank you for the good times and for bringing Baton
Rouge and all of us back together. I MISS YOU! I miss YOU!!
Clint Letulier was a tech and stage manager for Bush, Fight, Scott Travis, Paul Gilbert & Bruce Boulliet, Seven Dust and many more successful bands and recording artists during his career.

Heavenly Father, please be with us during the painful and difficult passages of our lives. Help us keep our heart fixed on what is unseen. In addition, dear Father, we pray that you please be present in the lives of the people we love, Lift the hearts of Diane, Emily, Eric, and all the friends and family of Clint who you called home today to his eternal glory... Please grant them healing. Lord, please pour your love into their hearts through the Holy Spirit and give them rugged perseverance and indestructible hope. Help them see your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

July 27, 2005
Hello, everyone! Antoinette Avalon here with a sort of post-mortem announcement. As of Friday, July 22, 2005, I have resigned as web administrator for kellykeeling.com. I have been the administrator of this site since the beginning, before it was even a .com, and this decision was not an easy one to make. This has nothing to do with my relationship with Kelly or with my wonderful partners on kellykeeling.com, Avatar Communications. Avatar Communications will be taking over the site in its entirety now and you the viewers will not be affected by my departure.
As many of you may have noticed, Avatar Communications has become an ever-increasing presence on Kelly's site. I brought them on board to take the site to the next level and they have very much succeeded. I was mostly down to playing secretary anymore . . . doing editing and things. This was by mutual consent with Kelly, Avatar and myself. We nonetheless made no changes to the contact information or anything on the site because there was no reason to. Folks who had been long time fans were familiar and comfortable with the setup. There was no need to do anything.
Unfortunately, the ongoing conflicts
between Kelly and his former management, Serge Entertainment, have created a
situation where I simply cannot continue to work on Kelly's site. I will of
course continue my work on antoinetteavalon.com and kane-roberts.com. I wish
everyone the best, I will miss being involved in this site and I remain . .
.
Eternally yours,
Antoinette Avalon

OK, let’s have fun!
The tour is going well and life is good.
Rob Deluka, bassist for the band OURS is on board; great vibe, cool person, great bassist, singer and songwriter. Schedules and circumstances made a difficult start but by the second show the guitars were in tune and words read. No joke though. G- is playing sooo damn good. It’s a privilege to be on stage with him. Some of the songs are difficult and I must say Don Dokken is a very underrated singer.
I have offered 3 songs for Don’s solo album. That is going well. How did I get in the middle? Lynch has a well of songs recorded which may be his best since, well, so much of it is good, best. It's modern and classic. Some vocals have been demoed and we do one new one live.
My own album is well received. I have CD’s
for this tour if anyone is interested. I need a band to play all I tracked.
It's not going to be easy to tour in October. Much more news when
I have a breather.
Thank you, business people, ex ties, for being respectful of my time and giving me a break during the many moves, adjustments, family needs, traveling and projects. And to my people who get my music and new album, all your comments make it all worth while. See ya soon!
Peace,

Tour dates with George Lynch will be posted soon on the tour dates page, June 4th through mid-July. It’s going to be lots of fun, as usual. We are writing a new album. We're all very inspired, recorded two songs today. Everyone is focused and in great spirits.
My album “GSTTE” will be available at Lynch shows, as well as others I will be giving away there. Lots of great new music to share and I have a great new company on my side, Viastar, who has my back and will be making life and distribution much easier.
Thank you, Stephen and John and all of the great reviews, enthusiasm, comments, criticism, loyalty and friendship. U know who you are, you know who you aren't.
By the way, Michael Schenker's new album is amazing and well worth the wait.
See u on the road!
MP3’s exist on a site called Sonic Bids whose link can be found on the home page of my site.
God Bless, peace, lovelove.

I'm in training for this tour, hard core, running, etc. I’m taking time out and time off, away from everyone as much as possible. I need to change this update page to my diary.
Tour dates Russia, Germany, Amsterdam, Europe and New York so far. Dates not confirmed but probably firm in SEPTEMBER. I have a new agency on board. American release dates are pending.
Band is a treat when confirmed. Check out the show!

Kelly Keeling's album will be previewed in its entirety with interviews at the online station http://www.theclassicmetalshow.com TONIGHT Saturday, March 12th at 6:00 PM Eastern.

First let me say to all the people who come to this site to copy and post & misquote my comments elsewhere and make a bigger deal than needs to be made, that this is my site where I come to basically journal and give my fans, friends and family an idea of what I'm going through. Blabbermouth and a few others have copied and posted me here and there, commenting. Do what you will. This is my journal, my updates, my life . . . part of it anyway. Not to be taken seriously as I sometimes am. Lighten up.
My album is to be released in a few days. I have listening parties and radio playing the whole album Saturday. Not sure of details right now but will post when I do it. It's a live simulcast that reaches I think everywhere. I’ve been really busy doing interviews and just working on being a human being having a life and getting inspired again after such a rough past 2 years. Last one especially. But now in beautiful San Diego, beach, sun, writing again, inspired again, well again. Thank God! The sun and ocean have been perfect and very healing. Healing Keeling
The MSG acoustic shows have been canceled. Michael wants to completely focus on the “25 years of MSG” album and tour. I am happy about this.
I saw Gavin Degraw tonight at CANES in Mission Beach San Diego. It was a very inspiring show; piano, vocals, guitar, his brother and company . . . a great band from New York. Clive Davis knows what he's doing when it comes to new talent. The crowd was great, sold out.
I think I'm going to cancel everything that was to happen and go for my own trip. After all, my album is being released within days and I gotta promote. Too many distractions and yeses from me. I'll go overseas first then come back here, many places in San Diego and New York, New Orleans, Texas and AZ. Anyway before I get misquoted I'll stop.
Good to be back and feeling alive again. I'll get to my mail and replies soon. Thank you for the inspiring letters.
Also, click on the picture below to see my new interview with rockunited.com!

Hello from the George Lynch tour!
Last night was fantastic!
Jeff Martin was in the crowd. He is on the “Furious George” album so during “Storm Bringer” I called him up to do harmonies. Nice, he obliged, only one chorus then graciously left. I miss those harmonies. What a great singer, drummer.
Fro is doing a great job, what drive. I can’t say enough about this band! All good, the new songs are great! George is always a class act and a calm friend to be around. The crew is great with Jerry, Ed, and “Mr. Bombassism” Marten Anderson on the eight string bass. I know there are two people driving rhythm.
I'm tired, but the show must go on. I will get a three hour rest before our next travel.
Love this but just wish I could sleep better. It’s hard to wind down after playing these songs to these packed houses.
My album will be out in March. Thanks for the e-mails and love, family and friends. Keep safe. I’ll be home soon!
Cheers! See ya soon!

I have written three songs for the MSG album, one for Graham Bonnet, Gary Barden and myself which I will sing myself of course.
January 7, 2005
Nice to be home in sunny San Diego, one of my homes at least, for some much needed rest and rejuvenation in Paradise at Paradise Point, (a resort in Pacific Beach, San Diego conducive to healing body, mind and soul). The air has never been more fragrant, the sun never so warm and healing. God I missed this place and some of my dearest friends on the planet
I will soon be back on tour with George Lynch, Marten Anderson, & Mike Fro with a new set of material. I’m finally enjoying myself again and really looking forward to having a good time away from the clutches of the music business. We will be doing shows with MSG where I can foresee some serious fun for obvious reasons and with Dave Mustaine & Megadeth. I believe NAMM SHOW too, Jason Bonham & company Zep Set.
Michael S. has asked me to appear on his newest album and to write a few songs as has Dokken. If I could be cloned it may help my state but I simply can't be in three places at once. I hope they wait for me.
My album has been done for a while; everyone likes it so I think I can let it go. There comes music business again. I am so ready to do another one, but not allowed as a solo artist until 2006. Did I say Clutches of Music Business? My band will do a band name album and End of Summer festival tour and release. Heavy Industrial Alt Rock ‘N Roll. A few surprises I am sworn to secrecy on that I will fit in if I can catch my breath. Orchestra / ME / Piano on select dates.
Already it’s a year that was meant to be a few ago. So new in the year. YESSSS. Glad to be on this side of life. Not agitated by agents and pressure, Healthy, Happy and making Music Fun for the people I love with people I love with no conflict flowing as peaceful as the River Sane. Blessings and Magic very rich. Good to be alive again. Last year was a serious beating. Read about it in my book. Did I say book? Yes I did. Eventful!!. It is being co-written by a close friend who has sold millions of books on many recording artists. I have not been bored I can promise you that. My Life, jeesshheeesh.
All I can say is God has a plan and purpose for me to
have made it through the last 35 albums and around the world a few times
non-stop. It's a true story; fun, sad, happy and miraculous, all dreams and more
come true, many stolen, many sacrificed. The beautiful people I have had the
opportunity to learn from and make love of music with. It will be a 2006
release worldwide along with my second solo album.
God Bless You all in 2005.

Hello again from Russia. Thanks to all who made my trip/stay so nice; Tatiana Grigorenko, Alla, Vladimir, Costia, Sergey, (you have the best voice I have ever heard), Ihope to do Beatles and Purple again when I come back. Also Coha from Pushking ( I think we wrote a hit, good luck with the vocal). Also thanks to all at Radio Rocks (Alexa & TV 1 and surrounding TV stations). I am on my way to Frankfurt, Germany now where I'll stay over for the night. I have a recording session with an orchestra tonight. The plane leaves at 10:00 am the next day. I'm gonna be beat. Gotta make use of every day on earth ya know. It's flooded there I hear in the lowlands, we'll see what happens. I will be in Georgia in 2 days for a much needed rest then rehearsal with some very good friends (Bryan from Baton Rouge, Mike from my second band in Louisiana (going to be great), Blair on guitar and David from Shock Opera who will accompany me on some shows there. Anyway, that’s all till next time. I've gotta pack and get to the airport. Uugh . . . intercoms, chaos, the same shpeal in the cabin, seatbelts, floatation devices, etc., as if anyone would do any of it on the way down at 5000 mph. It makes me wonder . . . sure does.

Well . . . I am in Russia with seven inches of snow and blizzard. The shows went good, radio very nice, TV today and a recording session in Moscow. I wrote some new songs that I'll add to my set . Anyway, the clock is faster today than usual, so I'm off again. Previat( hello ) and NA STAROVIA (cheers) from Russia.

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't
posted in so long I’ve been on the road here in
America &
overseas and will be leaving this morning for
Russia where
I'll be doing some solo shows. Me, Piano, 12 string, and a mic. I’ll be doing
radio, TV, recording in Moscow,
video and a few shows in promotion of my solo album to be released in MARCH 14. This time the release is for real, unless my label changes course or we
decide a mix is bad. Actually there are many I don't like but I've had enough
and have already started writing the next album. Enough already. It's a good
album. Next.
The year has been long. First the tour with Lana Lane, Erik Norlander & Vinnie
Appice & Co., starting in
America.
The Lynch tour with Yngwie Malmsteen and the “Furious George” album, the Dokken
album “Hell 2 Pay”,
My album “Giving Sight to the Eye”,
My band, my tour in the south and in
San Diego,
three moves. I'm leaving a lot out of course. My life is completely upside
down. Jeeez, and now a trip to the snow in
Russia. The
people there are very warm so this will balance the cold weather. I'll be
returning for some solo shows in the south, Atlanta very briefly before a much
needed rest at home which is not yet decided but pretty clear where that is. I
went as far as I could go with the weather. I may head down to
San Diego
for some time as it is the perfect weather beach and vibe year round, while the
cold weather and time passes. I'll likely write the past years diary for my
next album and work with _______ and Michael Schenker during the next few
months.
Thanks for the e-mails and
encouragement. See ya in St Pete and a few spot gigs upon my return. Check tour
dates page for guests and venues and here for updates. Thanks to you all,
family, extended family, management & friends who have kept me floating on this
icy sea of music biz. U know who u are

I am in Madrid. It is so beautiful here, everyone is so wonderful, the crowds, reception. Barcelona is next. What a nice trip. Just a note to say, thanks for the mail and encouragement once again. God bless. Miss you all friends and family. KK

I thought this was an easy way to answer many questions.
I don't know where the Journey rumor came from. I don't think I would do it if asked. Maybe because of the Foreigner rumors. As far as that goes it is an idea at this point is all I can say and I had obligations to tend to here in Europe so we will see when I return to America. My label is here. We meet soon to plan for my release and tour so I may do that. My own career rather than all else I am asked to do for a change. There it is in short. Thanks for the letters and encouragement, good to hear from you all. God bless. Kelly

Hello to all of our friends and family in Europe!
Hope to see you all very soon and I will be answering letters soon. Please send
any important inquiries to my e-mail.
Thank you and hope to see all of you who've written and more at one of the

to the 5 weeks of this, ending in St Petersburg. We are on stage soon, so I
must go!

Hello, Everyone!
I'm now writing from my cell phone, on the road
playing fretless bass, guitars and singing with the Erik Norlander trio; Vinnie
Appice, drums, Erik on Hammond, 22 oscillator monster moduler moog, the e.n.
Andromeda, and many other e.n. keyboards, samples and devices. Erik plays bass
with extra limbs extentions etc. when I'm on guitar. Lana Lane is guesting
vocals, presently warming up her voice. It's a very interesting band. I no
longer live in the south since the George Lynch/Malmsteen tour.
I expect from my itenerary that I'll be a nomad of
music and the world for a while longer. Mid August I'll be spending some time
with a very successful band hoping all works out. My solo album will now be a
January release. There will also be more current inspired music with the gifted
George Lynch, a European tour with Erik and Lana, my tour if I have time and if
this other tour happens. I wrote and produced a few songs for the Don Dokken,
"Hell to Pay" album, vocals as well, and the "Furious George" album which I
haven't heard yet.
Thanks to all the extended families, friends, fans
and support who have continued to greet me in
every city and state. My son Jason, and all my immediate family for the love
and understanding of my work of art and art of work. I love you all. See you
soon. God bless. Will post albums, tour photos and antics soon.
See ya on tour!

Hello, everyone! A message from Antoinette Avalon, Kelly's web administrator!
I have two things to throw your way. First, if you have any clubs in mind where you'd like to see Kelly Keeling & Sun perform in your area please email Kelly with your club recommendations. Including contact information for the club would be helpful.
Second, my partner at Avatar Communications is working on a slick slideshow of the George Lynch Tour photos. There is still time to submit photos to be included. If you have photos you would like included contact info@avatarcommunications.net. We are not in the position to pay for pictures but we always credit photographers appropriately. If your photos are chosen it will be a great way to show off your skills as a shutterbug as well as share the Kelly Keeling tour experience with other fans!

I've been in Georgia for a few days after a few weeks off at Pacific Beach in San Diego. Nice place to end the Lynch/ Malmsteen tour. No place better than La Heina, Pacific Beach.
This band is sounding very good. I'm talking about my new band that will do the summer festivals and tour, which is all set. I get to hang with The Allman Bros., Poco and Judas Priest among others during this festival. Festive . . . I'm looking forward to it. We've been rehearsing like crazy. The first shows are in May, check the "Tour Dates" page for dates.
I will be accompanying Erik Norlander and Co. as well for west coast and European dates as a guest along with LANA LANE and as a member of a three piece band "Rocket Scientists" (I'll be doing fretless bass/keys and vocals). The Norlander work is in the process of idea delivery so stay tuned for definite dates. Tour dates will be on my "Tour Dates" page for these concerts when they are scheduled.
I believe there will be a few more dates with George Lynch as well. We'll see about that. I hope it happens. What a blast that tour was! Jeff, Marten and George, it's a great band! Dates will be in Europe if it does happen around September. You never know because everyone is so busy. We managed to squeeze an album out called "Furious George". Check it out.
I heard the new Dokken album. Wow! Very good! Classic! Don is a soldier. I feel blessed to know him, much less write and record with him. HE is such a great friend and a trouper. The vocals are great! The band is great! Jon Levin is great, as are Barry Sparks, Wild Mick; you know . . . the best!! It's just great songs and with Wynn Davis . . . we finally have a great mix. The last album suffered because he was too busy to mix. Thanks for doing a fantastic job, Wynn!
The album will be released in July on Sanctuary Records. Rarely have I seen anyone do one-take vocals this damn good. I did harmonies here and there and produced a few of Don's vocals, the good ones of course. ;o) What a treat!
In short . . . or longer, I am home admiring Rufus Wainwright's new CD. I'll have to get a copy! Marius did an excellent job! It's very inspiring from a producer/songwriter's performance point of view, as I will be producing again very soon. Marius, if you read this, let's do lunch again and write the second verse.
Oh, my album! I have heard the new mixes the label did. It's half mine and half theirs. We are having serious talks about it. All I'll say for now is it looks like a September release. It's very good . . . will be very good. Tour to follow as said earlier.
Goodnight America and the world! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! I hope to see you all on tour.
Please request my album in every record store and radio station when it's released in September. Download a song if you must to hear Carmine, Vinnie, Kerry Livgren, John Norum, Roger Daltry, Denny Laine, Don Dokken, Shane Galaas, Mitch Perry, Chuck Wright, Ken Mary, Wayne Hammerly, Ryan Hammerly, Michael Hodgson, Wayne Findlay, Pat Regan and ME. It's a great album! It took me a lifetime it seems. As I said, download if you must, but go out and buy it, please. I gotta pay my label back for the years of ridiculous eccentricities that has delivered an eccentric record. I hope you enjoy it.
Bless you, wherever you are!

Well, United States of America, we made it! Tonight was our last show for now and our best, ending up in San Diego. I thought I met Heaven and all my friends were there. It was very emotional. My family is this band. What NOW? I love these guys!
My band in Georgia has dates set and rehearsal on the way. Anyway, I'll keep it short for today, while I sleep and get ready for the beach and wheatgrass juice and of course God, love, meditation and Jesus. PEACE Brothers and sisters. Thank you all for being there these past months. Also thanks to Yngwie Malmsteen, April, Antonio, Gungie, Thomas, Patrick, Rudy, Joke and many more I'll remember after I close. God Bless!
Also thanks to my family at home, for being here for me; Mom, Chris, Court, Jason, Yvette, Ginny, Danny, Tone, Kim, Paul, Hodge . . . ALL of you!

April 7, 2004
Well, as usual, so much to say and no time. Our
tour bus is stopped at a truck stop so Charlie our driver can rest, and the
band, too. I couldn't resist checking in.
The crowds have been so very nice to us and again what a treat to be on stage
with the best band I have had such a long haul with. There are many pictures
and updates on George's site and a reference to lyrics, probably "Breaking the
Chains". I don't wanna go post on the site but hey, I do my best and am
really having a great time.
Again I'm realizing how blessed I am once again to be involved with such great
talent. Jeff sings his heart out every night and is one of the best drummers
I have played with. The best I have toured with! Also for being such a great
friend and support in so many ways, as the rest of the band has been. George
is one of the most easygoing bro's I've known, contrary to any story. Maybe
the chemistry is just right? No drama, well, between Marten, Jeff, "G", crew,
Justin, Shaun, Ed, Charlie, Joey and Ray, which I must add, saves us every
night as well as some of our opening bands and crews. Go on? Well, it's 6
am, truck stop, tour bus . . . what else to do?
We finally got a great groove with Mr. Yngwie, J. and crew. His crew and
management is SOOO tight we had some trouble conforming to a perfect to the
minute schedule at the start but we got it ironed out within the last few
shows. I'll say it again; they are one of the best bands I have had the
pleasure to witness. The bill is strong, sold out almost nightly. Lynch,
Malmsteen and Co., which I must add, is the best band he has had for Keeling,
Anderson and Martin fans. It's good to be back out on the road.
I'm probably being redundant and must rest for the next show.
Remember the "Furious George" album will be out soon. We do
some from it when the mood hits. I hear Mooka at Prairie Sun Recordings
has done a stellar job. We fought hard to have him mix and are glad
he had time. Also thanks to Mike Varney for spending the extra $$ to
have the best mix on this album.
We are talking about writing sessions for "Lynch" while we are furious. I
hope we can keep this magic happening till recording.
My album, as usual, I am too damn busy with 100,000 demands.
I may say "yes" too much but I hope soon Ed at Mascot releases my hard work to
you all. As said before, they are mixing in Germany.
There is also talk about a European tour under the "Lynch" band name.
Dokken is in mix mode. I hope all remember my contribution. I really love
the songs that I was a part of.
And you, family, friends, life, my son Jason Kerry, family in SD, LA, NY,
Sweden, CA and all I have met while out here and reacquainted with, Antoinette
Avalon, my fan club people . . . April and all you special people . . . wow!
Thank you for being part of my life!
See ya soon I hope!

Hi from Clifton Park, New York?? Geez, a new state
every day. I miss my family and friends so much but the tour is going great.
No days off for a while, I think. Doogie White has been a great help on this
tour with simple reminders of what we singers must do to be at our best. What a
great singer!
It's still a very enjoyable tour. The crowds have been so great! I have so
much more to say but no time now. I will check back in soon.
Much love, and thanks!
Kelly, and all of us out here on the "Viking Frog Tour"

Well, I'm writing from
a truck stop in Nebraska. We are on a 23-hour run to make it to Wisconsin after
playing to another sold out show with Yngwie. It's going pretty smoothly. I'm
not sure if we'll make it in time for the show, but we'll try. I've started
writing again. I guess it happens when I start feeling. This time it's about
complete homesickness, of where . . . I don't know these days. I travel and
work so much I'm not sure where my roots are. I'm going through so many mixed
emotions and there's no other way to deal with it other than writing. So maybe
I'll get some songs out of the experiences I'm going through.
I met Yngwie's nice family today. He has a beautiful son. His wife is very
nice as well. His band is some of the nicest people I have met. Great guys,
great band, and tour manager Gunge is doing his best to get us good sound check
time. It's all working pretty smoothly.
My label is still mixing in Germany. Sorry it's taking so long.
I'll write more as I know it. Hope to see more good friends along the way. So
far I've had friends pop up at each show. The band and I are quite surprised.
If you need comp tickets and I check my mail in time, I'll see what I can do
about getting you on the list.
All for now!
Lovelove,
Kelly

Hello, everyone! Antoinette Avalon, Kelly's web administrator here.
I am pleased to announce that AVATAR COMMUNICATIONS has joined me to continue to make Kelly's site the best it can be. View their web site at http://www.avatarcommunications.net. You will still be seeing my design and layout. The site will not have any drastic changes. What Avatar is bringing to the site is a great deal more technical expertise.
Our first upgrade is the new mouse over navigation buttons. I hope you all enjoy this and future improvements!

Hi all! Thanks
for all the mail! It’s so good to see all my buds from over the years at these
shows, new friends and extended families, brothers and sisters all over.
I'm surprised at how well the shows are going and how much I'm enjoying this
band.
Lynch pushes the envelope every night. I don't think he has ever played this
well. He said so himself. The second show in San Antonio was so amazing. We
did a four song jam out of the air. I have my Les Paul out here as well. What
a band!
Jeff Martin sings so well, as well as driving the band with his drumming.
Marten Andersson is great as well, never a wrong note, always there to rely on.
Our sound check has not been the best due to circumstantial, technical and other
situations so I punched my voice too hard at a few shows but . . .
I’m enjoying seeing the country again. Our bus driver, Charlie is the best. I
have never slept so well on a tour bus. Anyway . . .
I am needed for sound check soon.
Thanks for all your letters and support. I hope to see you there at the future
shows . . . mine, Lynch or wherever.
Cheers!
KELLY

Well, well. It's been a good busy year so for. The Dokken album I just worked on is really good and much heavier than the last one. I did some harmonies and some other vocals with Don. He is singing the best I've heard him since "Back for the Attack". Jon Levin is amazing. Dokken fans will be happy. I love the album. Same family of subjects. Next!
Tomorrow I join George Lynch, Jeff Martin, Marten Andersson, Mike Varney and company to record a new George Lynch album. We will record for five days, then go immediately into three days rehearsal to the tour starting in Texas. It will take two tour busses, one for Yngwie Malmsteen and band, who we are opening for so get there early, and one for this new band "Lynch". Tour dates will be posted on the "Tour Dates" page.
My solo album will be released soon. They are still tweaking the mix . . . uuugh! My band has a show booked May 8th, full on rock band in Georgia. This will start rehearsing the band, getting ready for My SOLO tour.
That's all for now! Post your comments in the "Guest Book" and let me know how you liked the show and new albums!

(Web administrator's note. Sorry for the delay in posting this! We have been experiencing difficulties with Kelly's site. We are now on a new server and trying to get everything caught up. Thank you for your patience.)
February 8, 2004
It's February and already a great year! My album is done and in the mixing stages in MARCH.
I'm now in the studio in Los Angeles with Don Dokken doing vocals, harmonies etc. for the new Dokken album. It’s going to be a great! The very powerful Jon Levin, the guitarist, is incredible. I also will be recording an album with George Lynch at the end of the month (odd how that happened) with a tour following. We will be doing two months of shows with Yngwie Malmsteen. It's going to be lots of fun!
Dates for the shows will be posted on the “Tour Dates” page when we get the final confirmed list. I'm back to Georgia for some solo shows of my own next week. Dream Catchers is the name of the venue, details are on my “Tour Dates” page.
All for now!

Here's a note from your friendly web administrator, Antoinette Avalon. :o) You can view and hear (although the images are completely blurry, fair warning) the gig at the Palms with Don Dokken at http://www.nowstream.com. Click HERE and select "Dokken" from the drop down menu.
January 16, 2004
Howdy folks! It’s been a while since I updated. I've
been so busy on the road with various projects and social gatherings.
I did a show with Dokken at the Palms in Las Vegas that went over rather well
considering Don never showed for practice. Why should he? He knew the songs,
right? Except for the new ones which we wrote out. It was a very enjoyable time.
Next I was off to the Bay Area where I rehearsed for a few days with a Beatles
tribute band. It was with a full orchestra and two sold out nights at Bohemian
Club. I played the part of Paul McCartney. What a fantastic time! “Sergeant
Peppers” played with horns. “Strawberry Fields” played with an orchestra. On
“I Am the Walrus” the dangerous orchestra was SOO fabulous. “Hey Jude” played
with the piano . . . the closer was just phenomenal. I have a good idea of how
Paul feels during the sing along of “Hey Jude”, the closer of this show. This
experience cannot be explained. Anyway, there it is.
My album will be finished during the week of my return to my studio in the
country next week. I have two bass tracks to lay down, then to Germany
to remix. I haven't actually done the second Beatles show yet. My web designer
Antoinette Avalon will be joining me. That is in a few hours, so I must be off
to warm up the voice and mind. Happy New Year to all of ya and thanks for all
the wonderful letters! I'm glad you enjoyed the CD’s I have been selling
through this website. The BEST one will be out on MASCOT records, released
around APRIL 2004. Keep posted here for updates. It will be available
worldwide at your local CD store, Tower, Target and K-mart.
See you on the road! That reminds me. My band is rehearsing . Hope
all will be ready upon my return. It should be great when it's all put
together. This last album is not the simplest of music to reproduce but
then again, neither was the Beatles show. Where there's a will there is
a way. May all YOUR dreams come true!

Well, well, where do I begin?
Seems that hibernation, visiting with family, friends, writing, rejuvenation and the European tour with Erik Norlander and Lana Lane is over for now. After a good rest that is still under way, will my energy reserves be back up? I have been playing a lot of piano and guitar to accompany myself during some upcoming shows. I hadn't realized the songs were so difficult! Seems I wrote 'em, did 'em on my albums, should be a cinch! Not! Especially after a much needed break.
I have used so many tunings of my own design on most of my recordings but it just isn't practical to use them all live until I get a crew together. Twelve guitars? The idea is to simplify everything and travel light for this leg of the tour so I have actually had to relearn everything. Some have to go to piano, which I must say I am enjoying a lot. You have a lot more options for musicality there. You have bass, harmony, melody, full accompaniment and all the words!! GEEE WHIZ, I see why Sting and McCartney among many have a teleprompter of lyrics in front of them now. I think I got the lyrics. We'll see.
My band is on the way, friends from my hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana although I like to call San Diego, California home as well. They know people here in Georgia where I am currently doing business and getting ready for the release of TWO albums so I look forward to tearing it up again after this acoustic tour which I will still integrate into the band's set. It's becoming quite enjoyable.
As for the albums, one will be released worldwide on MASCOT Records in JANUARY 2004. It is my first solo album that I worked on for a damn EON! I am glad that is done and out of my hands. I look forward to finally doing the songs live!
Another one with the band SUN will be released during the month of OCTOBER 2003. That's tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow! Deals for this album are still pending but there will be a limited edition fifteen song CD release including Danny Johnson on guitar, Shane Galaas on drums and me on vocals, guitars, keyboards and fretless bass. This can be found and purchased at the web site and will be sold at my shows for a short while. There are some rockers here as well with some special guests and some artistic mellow modern songs I did with an orchestra. I had to give my ears a rest and do what I wanted to listen to for a stint. Those songs are here. I hope you enjoy both of the albums. I put my heart and soul into them.
Speaking of albums, you can find MP3s of the Heaven and Earth album at http://www.stuartsmith.com/windowsinfo.html.
There are also audio files of the Heaven and Earth album at
http://www.nehrecords.com/shop/HeavenEarthWindows.html and at MP3.com under Heaven and Earth
Dokken is in the studio again. I am waiting for ideas from Don. I am looking forward to contributing again.
There will be a new Guitar Zeus album later this year featuring many of Carmine Appice's new and old friends. The saga continues and finally very soon a release in America of "the best of" from the three albums we did. It's a lot of great music. For more current up to date information on that visit Carmine Appice's web site at http://www.carmineappice.net.
There will be a live DVD of the Erik Norlander/Lana Lane/Kelly Keeling tour early in 2004 or maybe even before the end of the year. Check Think Tank Media's web site for more up to date information on releases and be sure to check out Erik's new album "Music Machine" which I did lead vocals on along with Mark Boals and Scott Kail (great job Scott, Mark, Vinny, Erik, Peer and Don . . . all great!). It's an amazing progressive album. Erik just finished producing another album for Lana Lane I look forward to checking out as well.
The weather is nice again as always around October in the south. It's always nice in San Diego, which I miss terribly but I will be back.
There it is. That's all for now. Keep rockin' and check out the Keeling Healing page
under Kelly's Home Page on Nutrition from the Links page on my site.
Check back soon as a lot is happening very fast!
All the best to all of you! Thanks for all the letters and continued success in whatever you do!

Hello everyone! Antoinette Avalon, Kelly's web administrator, here with an update!
Kelly has no computer access. He hasn't for a few weeks and it will be a few more weeks minimum before he'll have a computer again. General inquiries can be made to me at veryclassylady@netscape.net.
I've spent a great deal of time tweaking Kelly's web site over the past week. I have completely revamped a lot of the navigation in hopes of making it even easier for you and make the pages load even faster. This includes the discography section which has been completely reworked.
I hope you enjoy the changes!

THE ALBUM IS DONE! The artwork is done and in the
mail. Maybe now I can have a life.
Looking forward to my show in Atlanta tomorrow, well actually today, as
Keeling time goes today is always tomorrow and nights are usually days. As my
Dad always said, “I don't know why, my nights are my days; I can't tell why my
days are my nights.” “Can't tell” is the key phrase and puzzle.
After the show, I am flying to the Bay Area where I will do some serious
mandatory relaxation and a bit of acoustic, piano performing and camping,
hiking, swimming, sleeping, being still, enjoying life and visiting. Where I am
going no cell phones, computers, televisions, tape recorders and the like are
permitted so everyone there may as well have mandatory relaxation recovery time.
I must say a big heartfelt thank you to all involved during the CD art process.
I want to thank Antoinette as well and all who contributed on the album.
If anyone needs to get a hold of me during the next two weeks please contact
my web designer at veryclassylady@netscape.net.
See you in a few weeks, much love and peace to you all

Hello now from America! It's good to be back home!
Today is the last day for my artwork for my album. My management and team are working round the clock to meet the deadline.
We expect a September release. HOORAY!
I did a small unexpected show in Georgia last night as a warm up to the Hard Rock show in Atlanta this coming Saturday.
The tour has been postponed due to so many other opportunities arising from the album being so close to release and the success of the European tour among other things.
Please continue to check here for updates and shows as there will be many on promotion of my album release as well as listening release parties, etc.
My management has also prepared a free special outtakes CD for anyone wanting a Peace With the World tour T-shirt, as seen on tour dates page (Peace with the world is a song on my CD.)
Thanks for the letters! Keep 'em coming! I'm playing every nook, cranny, theater and venue all over the world and am in negotiations for another tour.
Keep in touch! It's good to be back! See ya soon!

Hello from ENGLAND! ROTHERHAM was LOVELY. It's a nice country, beautiful. Such nice people. Thanks to the wonderful crowd! I look forward to coming back soon!
Driving on the wrong side of the road took some getting used to. It seems like everything is backwards. Or is it that the rest of the world is backwards?
Anyway, I have the day off today. I have a day with my record label tomorrow in the Netherlands to do artwork and cover design and to choose songs for the final cut of the album to be released in SEPTEMBER.
Check out the new photos once they're online. More are on the way from the shows. We'll let you know when they are on the site.
Life could not be much better. Sending lots of love to all who have written and to all back home and in the hood! Paul & Kim, Mary, Hodge, ERN, Wally, U wolly!, Ginny, Wayne & Deana, Antoinette, take care!

Hello everyone from Holland!
What a beautiful country this is! The band is amazing! What a lovely
group of people in Holland and in the band. I'm looking forward to the
other countries as well!
Anyway, life could not be better. Sorry about the postponement of my tour. Big things are happening. I'll be there soon and it will be much better than it would have been if things were done in a rush.
Much love, happiness and success to you all! Thanks for writing and God bless.
Oh!!! I turned in my album! No more MIXING! Maybe that's why I'm so
happy!

June 15, 2003
Hello everyone! Just a quick note from Kelly's web administrator.
Kelly is now in Europe with Erik Norlander as planned. He has had no internet access for at least three weeks prior to this trip so anyone who has been trying to reach him via e-mail . . . please be patient. If you have any questions or concerns for Kelly you can still write me, Antoinette Avalon, at veryclassylady@netscape.net and I will get the message to Kelly and/or answer the question as appropriate. Except for right now while he is in Europe, we normally touch base daily.
I'd also like to let
everybody know that the Hard Rock Café gig on July 12th in Georgia is still
scheduled. We originally thought all tour dates would be cancelled but
this one will go forward as a solo acoustic show with Kelly Keeling. This
is Kelly's first solo acoustic show and the only performance for the summer
months. He will be joined by a special guest, acoustic
guitar virtuoso Dominic Gaudious for a few tunes in the set. Also, Peace
With The World t-shirts will be available for $15.00 at the show and when you
buy a t-shirt you will receive a free Kelly Keeling demo sampler CD! This
offer is only good at this performance.
Check out our merchandise page to view the t-shirts or to order one directly. Grab a piece of Keeling history! Shirts are available in US and Canada.
Kelly would like to express his thanks to everyone for your words of encouragement and inspiration! He hopes you enjoy the forthcoming album!
Eternally yours,

During these concerts, Kelly will also sing one song from his upcoming release on Mascot songs so attend a show for a sneak preview of what's to come! Musician lineup will be: Lana Lane - vocals, Erik Norlander - keyboards, Kelly Keeling - vocals, Don Schiff (Rocket Scientists) - NS/Stick, Ernst Van Ee (Helloise, Highway Chile) - drums, Peer Verschuren (Vengeance) - guitar. See the Tour Dates page for the itinerary!
April 29, 2003
I am triple booked and expected to be in three places at once. One place is re-mixing a few songs here at the Asylum. One came out really nice. It only took 4 days. Only!? I previously had three machines dedicated to 16 tracks per machine, one for drums, one for vocals, one for instruments. Now I have ONE machine with 16 tracks to mix on. I therefore had to do many sub-mixes. NUTS! On the newer song I have opened up 24 tracks. There is a compression device when 24 is used. I think I can hear it. We'll see if I end up using the 16 track version or the 24 track version. This song has much less tracks. I have much more space in my head to focus on it. Mixing is an art, an art I don't think I will be doing alone again.
Album cover artwork is next. I have some cool ideas and photos I took over the past two years or more I like.
My band rehearsed today without me since I am mixing and this has taken up so much time. They are a great band, great support team. We're rehearsing for the first show, which is right around the corner. We have a very special guest or few appearing at this show. I'm looking forward to it.
I must be done for travels starting Wednesday where I'll be for about week plotting the taking over of USA and overseas with my first solo album release and taking a much needed break from the demands of my slave driving songs. I love them all though . . . my precious. :)
I'm not quite out of the woods yet as I thought before but getting there very soon.
We're planning a late summer release in August for the album.
I miss the beach; maybe I'll take a break and go down there today. It depends on how far I get. I have to be done with this album before I leave . . . must. Life is passing.
Peace and wheatgrass, check out my "Keeling Healing" page from my "Links". I had to refer to it lately. There's good information and links there on how to be and stay sane and healthy. Sometimes taking ones own advice is difficult. This page happens to be advice and knowledge I picked up along the way that I know has worked for me. Bread crumbs if you will. I'll be adding sections and more info soon, as I need more information presently.
It’s time to get back to mixing. Back to the egg and trying to figure out who will be taking care of my cats while I'm away.
Peace, love, sun and wheatgrass,
KWK

It
seems we have a tour booking up quite nicely. I’m actually getting a few
butterflies going and guitars strung and tuned, song lists written, thrown out,
re-written, dreamt and had nightmares over. It's gonna be good!
The beach is calling, and so is rehearsal near the beach. It’s all good. You
gotta love San Diego, especially during spring break.
I think we actually have dates coming up in my home town in Louisiana. That
will be very interesting. It’s a long ways away. I should be fine
as usual with a little help from my friends. Michael “Hodgie” Hodgson,
will be the tour manager among many other things, probably stage manager as
well, what else? With eyes wide open, we're watching. It will be
another interesting story to read up on as it happens. His company, Starlight
Charters Tour Busses and Limousines will be hosting some of the parties
and shows.
There will be giveaways promoting some of the bands endorsements during radio
shows and club and festival contests. Let’s see what else.
The album will be released mid to late summer as mentioned by Mascot Records
today.
John Norum (UFO's new guitarist) and I will write next week after meeting at the
Meldrum, Zakk Wylde's "Black Label Society” show Tues.
I'll have info on my band SUN, Greg, Jimmy and Pete, tomorrow. The sun's
up already and I gotta get six hours sleep before beach call. Over and out for
today, 5:00 AMish.
Cheers! Later!

Well, I made it through alive. This album was not easy to do. I believe I have gone to Heaven, Hell and all over earth to deliver this and came through just slightly singed.
I wrote, recorded and performed almost all of the material myself, with the help from the best drummers in the world. I can say that proudly and it is really the truth. How blessed I was to have Carmine Appice, Vinnie Appice, Shane Gaalaas, John Perrine and Ken Mary play on this album. Kerry Livgren also played piano on a track. Mitch Perry played on a song. Don Dokken accompanied me on a song as well. I did the guitars, bass, keys, vocals and drums on one track when the studio was booked and Carmine had a clinic to teach. The show went on. So there it is.
I turned in a few mixes per song so my label is now going through them before mastering as I prepare a new band for the road. It will be a great lineup of friends I've known for years in San Diego. Greg Crampton from a band called Otis Elevator will be on drums. Jimmy Lewis from Superunloader and Pete Pisatauro, a seasoned player both session and live who is also a local soundman from Rhode Island on bass. I'll likely do keys on a few songs if I can't get who I wanted to commit.
I’m actually really looking forward to doing my own trip for a change. I've been under a spell so to speak at times with my past bands. Now this time, I was asked to do my own trip. What that was, was not easy to find. It was actually a dangerous and intense emotional rollercoaster. But I lived and now have a better idea of who I am. My strengths are clearer, weaknesses farther in the past and hopefully I’m a little sharper and wiser.
It's spring break and I live so close to the beach. Wow, what an amazing time! Everyone is happy, including me. The sun's out. I’m healthy. It’s time to have a bit of fun before the tour and of course the tour will be fun.
God Bless and thank you to the American and British soldiers, troops and everyone fighting overseas. God Bless America and the rest of the world. Let’s hope the war will be done very soon and Peace restored.
Smiles!
